| This is a 4.5 meter Andrew earth station we installed for a mining camp in Panama February 2010. This is a very high quality 2 piece Andrew dish we reconditioned after removing it from a military base on the west coast. They just don't make them like this anymore! Literally. Andrew does not make this model dish anymore and these are some of the best Andrew dishes ever made. They are thicker and more rigid than the current 4.5 meter reflector. If I had a choice between the new version and the old version, this (the old version) is the dish I would take. The mining company has a very reliable dish for their communications hub out in the middle of the jungle and this dish gets another life. This is our specialty and we love this kind of work! We reconditioned this antenna in Florida, packed it in a shipping container with new mount and dish hardware kits, and then installed it at the mining camp in Panama after it arrived. The installation took 5 days thanks to the help of the excellent team they have there at the mining camp. The concrete pad and ground field were completed by the local crew prior to our arrival. They have a very friendly, professional well trained crew and it was a pleasure working with them. The weather and environment was very harsh but we still enjoyed this work because of the fantastic people we got to work with. We really love working in Panama.
